Darryl Gehly Named President of Isobar US
Isobar announced today it has selected Darryl T. Gehly as President of Isobar US. Gehly’s appointment follows an interim period in which Pedro Cabral, Chairman of Isobar Global, oversaw the integration of three independent agencies into one larger Isobar US brand. With that transition period now complete, Gehly has been tapped to drive the 200-person US agency forward in its mission of fusing strategy, creative and technology to bring brands and people together like never before. Gehly will report directly to Nigel Morris, CEO of Aegis Media North America, and collaborate closely with Isobar Global to deliver outstanding client work worldwide.
“Darryl has been an integral part of our organization’s success for more than 10 years, and is someone who has demonstrated time and again his ability to inspire and lead both internal teams and client brands with fantastic results,” said Morris. “There is so much opportunity in the US market to help brands engage with consumers in new and far more effective ways, and no one sees and understands those opportunities better than Darryl. He is the right person to lead Isobar through this exciting new chapter in the agency’s history.”
Before being appointed President, Gehly served as Interim Managing Director and Chief Client Officer for Isobar, working alongside Cabral and the entire Isobar executive team to shepherd the formation of Isobar US. Prior to that, he was head of business development at Aegis Media North America, helping to drive business growth at the overall group level. His vision and influence in these times of convergence have helped drive new levels of engagement between brands and consumers for clients such as adidas, Nikon and Reebok. Gehly started his career within the Aegis Media Group family as a member of the founding leadership team at Molecular, which was acquired by Aegis Media in 2005 and recently integrated into Isobar US.
“Isobar is an agency that has been deliberately designed, by virtue of its people, processes and clear mission, to take the complexities of today’s converging media world and turn them into ‘like never before’ brand-to-consumer opportunities, so how can I be anything but incredibly excited to take on this role at this exact point in time,” said Gehly. “Importantly, I also intimately understand the unique way that Aegis Media operates as a Group and the talent and capabilities that we can access seamlessly. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with all of them here and all my Isobar colleagues around the globe to pioneer each day more meaningful, lasting and successful brand experiences.”
